Stanley # 112 Scraper PlaneStanley # 112 Scraper Plane  This popular scraper plane is in good condition.  Lightly cleaned.  There has been some losses to the jappaning, but it is not rusty or pitted.  The cutter is a Disston Scraper. Solid reglued handle   Will make for a good user and is ready to go back to work!!

Good  . . . . . $145.00      SOLD!!

Stanley 212 Scraper PlaneStanley 212 Scraper Plane   This 212 scraper is a nice looking plane.   It has been lapped and there is no rust or pitting.  It has been repainted or had the jappaning enhanced.  The cutter is unmarked as is typical for this plane.  Back in the day this was the plane / scraper of choice for fly rod makers, but the limited supply could note meet the demand as they are pretty hard to come by and very pricey.    9 1/2's block planes whose price fits the everyman's budget a bit better are the recommended choice for the masses these days.  I imagine it is much like anything else and wonder what the fellows making $2000 + rods are using, one of these, or a 40.00 9 1/2.     Nice!!

Good +. . . . .  $695.00       SOLD!!

Stanley # 85 Scraper Plane w/ Tilting HandlesStanley # 85 Scraper Plane w/ Tilting Handles  This #85 Scraper is in about as nice condition as one could ask for.  It retains 90% or better of its original japanning. The sides and sole are rust and pit free, and it look great.  No cutter.  The throat is perfect. The tilting Rosewood handle and knob are nice.  Overall a super example of a hard to find Stanley scraper plane.  Super!!

Fine. . . . . . . . $525.00        SOLD!!

Stanley # 12 Scraper PlaneStanley # 12 Scraper Plane  A nice example Stanley #12 scraper that has been used but not abused.  No rust or pitting, just a nice dark patina.  The cutter is proper, near full length, stained but not pitted or rusty.  It is marked Stanley in large block letters which would date this from near the turn of the century.  Nice enough!!

Good +  . . . . . $95.00      SOLD!!

Stanley # 87 Scraper PlaneStanley # 87 Scraper Plane  This #87 Scarper is in overall very nice original condition.  It retains 95% or better of its original japanning.  The finish on the Rosewood handle and knob is nice and there is just one small chip out of the top of the tote.  The cutter is unmarked but looks original and correct.

There is one apology.  On the rear drivers side rail the previous owner stamped his initials CAT, and when he hit that last letter he created a small and barely noticeable hairline that if I did not mention it might be overlooked.  You can see it in the close-up pics.  It is stable and hard to see, but there.   Overall a super example of a very hard to find Stanley scraper plane.

Good+ . . . . . .$695.00        SOLD!

Stanley # 85 Scraper PlaneStanley # 85 Scraper Plane  This #85 Scarper is in super original condition.  It retains 95% or better of its original japanning.  The finish on the Rosewood handle and knob is nice and there is no chipping or damage.  The cutter is marked Stanley from the Sweet Heart era.  These are often found without any mark or missing the cutter altogether.  Overall a super example of a hard to find plane.

Excellent. . . . . .$595.00    SOLD!!

Stanley #83 ScraperStanley #83 Scraper  The oversize round bottom cutter in unmarked.  The roller is original and nice.  It will clean to be nicer

Good . . . . . $55.00      SOLD!!

Stanley # 12 1/4 Scraper PlaneStanley # 12 1/4 Scraper Plane  This NOS / unused #12 1/4 scraper plane has a marked Sweetheart Cutter.  That is unusual as they are almost always missing from this plane.  This 12 1/4 scraper looks to have never been used and still has waxed paper with grease / cosmoline stuck to it.  The cutter was similarly wrapped when I got this and I took that off.  It left just a few minor stains on the cutter.   It came in the generic white box you see, and I am not sure if this was some contract order, or something the owner made up on his own to protect it for the last 60 -80 years.

Look at the other pics to see that there is basically no rust or even stains on the body of the plane.   The japanning is close to 100% and original.  A super plane in super hard to find condition.   You will not find a nicer condition example!!

Good . . . . .$375.00        SOLD!!

Stanley # 12 1/2 Rosewood Bottom Scraper PlaneStanley # 12 1/2 Rosewood Bottom Scraper Plane  This plane is NOS, Never Been Used, dead mint.  The box it is simply folded card stock.  Not sure where the original got off to or who made this.  Any stains or discoloration are just cosmoline and wax paper stuck to the sides.  There is not a scratch in the rosewood sole and the japanning is about perfect.

Fine +  . . . . .$295.00          SOLD!

Stanley # 112 Scraper PlaneStanley # 112 Scraper Plane   This Stanley112 has had its japanning enhanced, or redone.  It has a scraper blade in it.  There is a small chip in the tote.  It is otherwise nice, and will make for a good user at a reasonable price.  Keep the nice one on the shelf and put this back to work.

Good + . . . . .$125.00       SOLD!

Stanley #12 Scraper PlaneStanley #12 Scraper Plane  This scraper plane dates from near the turn of the century and can be considered a type 2 or 3 because of the rail design.  Other than the #12 cast into the bed it is unmarked.  The throat is perfect,  the japanning is approx 90%, and the Rosewood handle is super, both in graining and finish.  This plane has been lightly cleaned, and the discoloration you see is mostly staining, and looks great.  There is virtually no pitting or even texture to the metal surfaces, just honest patina.  This is a nice plane and is ready to go back to work, or spend another 80 years or so on the shelf or in your collection.

Good . . . . . . .$125.00       SOLD

Stanley # 12 1/4 Scraper PlaneStanley # 12 1/4 Scraper Plane  This Stanley #12 1/4 scraper plane has a marked Sweetheart Cutter.  That is unusual as the cutters are almost always missing from this plane.  This 12 1/4 scraper looks to have seen little if any use.  There are some stains on the sole, but no pitting.    The cutter is similarly stained, but very nice and full length.

Look at the other pics to see the super condition this plane / scraper is in.  The japanning is close to 100% and original.  A super plane in super hard to find condition.   Very Nice!!

Fine  . . . . .$295.00       SOLD!

Stanley # 12 3/4 Scraper PlaneStanley # 12 3/4 Scraper Plane  The Stanley #12 3/4  is a rare Scraper plane.  They were only made for about 15 years.  This Stanley #12 3/4 scraper plane is right.  There has been nothing done to it.  See the pics to confirm.

I have heard there is a new crop of fake ones being sold on eBay as real.  That is too bad.  I guarantee that this one is "right".

The condition of this example is pretty nice.  The extra thick Rosewood sole is very nice and shows little signs of wear and tear.  It looks to have seen little use but there are losses to the japanning in some areas.  The sides are not pitted, but do have light stains that would easily lap out if you choose to do that.   Overall it is a pretty nice example of a rare Stanley plane.

Very Nice!!

Good+  . . . . .$1295.00        SOLD!

Stanley # 12 Scraper PlaneStanley # 12 Scraper Plane  This early #12 Scraper is an example of how much condition can be a factor.  While it is basically the same as the one above in form and vintage, the condition is worlds apart. That fact made no difference at all to the collector, he just bought any or all he saw.   This one has the proper clipped corner cutter, and has no apologies.  A super piece of early Stanley plane making.   This one belongs on a shelf as part of the collection or will be a fine user.

Fine . . . . .$225.00        SOLD!

Stanley # 212 Scraper PlaneStanley # 212 Scraper Plane  This is the smallest, rarest, and hardest to find of all Stanley scraper planes.  The condition is very nice.  They were designed for use with one hand and are much smaller than the other scrapers in the #12 series.  They were once touted as the tool of choice for fly rod makers, but there just were not enough around to meet that demand.  A nice one!!

Fine +  . . . . .$1295.00          SOLD!

Stanley # 112 Scraper PlaneStanley # 112 Scraper Plane   The Stanley #112 scraper has a great / classic look to it with it wide low and sleek design.  It  is one of the best known and easily recognizable of all Stanley scraper planes.  The planes sole got wet in the recent past, and the sole has some ever so light pitting.  It is really more staining than pitting, and can not really be felt.  It will not affect use.  The cutter is marked with the sweetheart logo dating it from the mid 20's to the 30's.     It has a nice even patina, shows some signs of use, but not abuse, and is ready to be put back into use.  A nice example.

Good + . . . . .$150.00          SOLD!
