Universal
Model E-9410 "Sweetheart" Electric Toaster This
is pretty nice. It shows some loss to the nickel on the high spots
most notably on the top. It works, and the doors swing nicely!!
No breaks or damage. A proper era nice condition cord is included but
not pictured. You must remind me to include it.
Good + . . . . . .$275.00 SOLD!!
2nd Model
Floral Decoration General Electric D-12 Toaster
This is a pretty rare and very nice looking toaster! The General Electric
D-12 was the first commercially produced toaster in America and was introduced in
1909 or so. It has the open end high rack which makes it a second model.
The later ones had a much lower rack to make it easier to remove the toast. There
are some minor losses to the gold highlights along the border, but overall the decoration is
very nice. D-12 toasters with this decoration are much less frequently seen
or found than the plain white versions. There is one tiny flake at the base of one
foot and that is basically the only apology. It works, and the top
toast warming rack is original and proper. I am not sure if the cord
is original or not. The plug has a few minor chips but operable and
otherwise OK. It would be
easy to change the plug end out if desired. A nice looking toaster and hard to find version.
Very Good . . . . . . .$595.00
SOLD!!
Blue Willow Toastrite Electric Toaster
The Blue Willow Toastrite electric toaster is one of the harder to find
and rarest of all antique electric toasters. The Blue Willow
Toastrite Toaster was
made by Pan Electric of Cleveland Ohio. These decorated china
toasters date from the late 20's and production lasted just a few short
years before the depression effects hit.
This rare toaster is in great condition and has the original cord,
or so says the card provided buy the collector we are selling this for. There
are no cracks chips or other damage that i can see. It does heat up,
but i would find another one to use.
A great piece, at a great price.
Excellent . . . . .$1495.00 SOLD!
1st Model General Electric D-12 Toaster
This is a rare toaster! The
D12 was the first commercially produced toaster in America and was introduced in
1909 or so. This one has one patent date on the base and another patent pending
below that. It has the high rack which makes it an earlier model, and the
ends are closed which makes it a rare and seldom seen first model. There are some stained hairlines in the bottom of the
base but no real damage or cracks. It works. I am not sure if the cord
is original or not, but it fits. A nice toaster and hard to find version.

General
Electric Hotpoint "Gazelle" Toaster
Often called the Gazelle by collectors, this Edison GE toaster has the great
looking 1930's design that combines the flair of Art Deco with the class of
Arts and Crafts. If you look closely at this toaster you'll see lots of
subtle details that contribute to its great look. In addition to the obvious,
like the graceful gazelle image, note the stepped design of the side handles,
the diamond-shaped cutout vents, and the stepped design of the little feet that
lift the base ever so slightly off the table. Functional features include
an automatic timer (which seems operational---when cocked, it ticks), a manual
lever to operate the tip-out feature, and a pull-out crumb tray. This
example is sure to be one of the highlights of any early electric appliance
collection!

Electric D -12 Toaster
This toaster is
considered to be the first commercially produced toaster offered in America.
The basic story is told on the preceding page. This is an early model, and
unlike most found has its rack, and an original cord with the porcelain
connectors at the appliance end and a screw in plug on the receptacle end as
when this toaster was first offered there were more light bulb sockets available
than wall receptacles. A rare and desirable toaster for the discriminating
collector.

Porcelier
Blue Iridescent Porcelain Electric Toaster The Porcelier line
of toasters was certainly
one of the prettiest toasters ever to grace the breakfast table. This
Blue Iridescent porcelain toaster was manufactured by the Porcelier
Mfg. Co. of Greensburg, PA. This outfit made about 6 different
colors or designs of this style toaster. It was
expensive to produce in its day, and no doubt it must have had a hard time
competing with all those less expensive chrome models that were available explaining why so few were made or found today. It is one of the rarest
and hard to find of all manufactured toasters and is a great looker to boot.. This example is in super condition with
no chips, nicks or cracks---provided with a cord, probably not the
original.

9410 "Heart" Electric Toaster
The 9410 "heart" toaster was first introduced in 1929. This flipper style toaster has a great action to flip the
bread toasting when you
hit the buttons on the end of the base. The rack on each side tips out and
down, rotates 90 degrees, and then finishes revolving and lifting back up on its
way back into place. It is a marvel to watch, and it operates as it should
on this example It is in nice condition overall condition, and heats
up when plugged in. The cord shown is included, and has a switch built
into the plug. It
is one of the best known and most sought after of all toasters.

Porcelier
Basket Weave Floral Porcelain Electric Toaster
Certainly
one of the prettiest toasters ever to grace the breakfast table this porcelain
toaster was manufactured by the Porcelier Mfg. Co. of Greensburg, PA. The
body of this toaster was designed with an intricate basket weave pattern with a
scalloped edge top and with a diamond pattern border on the base, and was
decorated with brightly colored floral designs and gold striping. It
features two applied handles, an On / Off switch with spring loaded pop-up, and
a Light / Dark regulator, all in porcelain as well. Obviously it was
expensive to produce in its day, and no doubt it must have had a hard time
competing with all those less expensive chrome models that were available, thus
explaining why so few were made or found today. It is one of the rarest
and hard to find of all manufactured toasters and is a great looker to boot.. This example is in super condition with
no chips, nicks or cracks---provided with a cord, probably not the
original.
