feature I find most interesting is that the word Boot Jack is cast into the boot
end just in case there was any doubt as to its intended function. A nice casting as well..

Combination Boot Jack / Tobacco Cutter This
is a super piece. It does have some damage and some apologies, but is a
piece seldom found and not likely to be found anytime soon again. There
is a braze weld across the body as seen in the picture of the bottom. This is
near invisible from the top. The other issue is that the tail of the handle is
shorter than it should be. The bootjack area is nice, and the tobacco
cutter operates as it should. A rare combination piece!

interesting figural moose or reindeer design. The bottom is marked Bullock, a
well known English maker of quality cast iron products back in the last century. It is
extremely unusual and very graphic!

but it looks like one with the stylized R logo, and the word Para Boot.

K. J. Greenwald 1882 Patent Cast
Iron Boot Jack The patent number is 254816.
The cast iron frame is marked with the Patent holders name, the 1882 date, and
Newark NJ. location. The novel patented idea was to line the puller portion of
the boot jack with leather or another material to prevent bruising and
damage to the users boot or shoe as it was being removed. The leather is present but dry and
cracked.
For what it is worth, in the past I had and sold two collections of over 800 boot jacks,
and this one was not in either.
